Watch IRIB video clip on Imam Hussein (AS) mourning ceremonies

In keeping with mourning ceremonies marking the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the IRIB music department has released a video clip.

The clip produced by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting features how Iranians get ready for mourning ceremony commemorating the third Shia Imam’s martyrdom.

Muslims across the world, including Iran, mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in Karbala, Iraq.

In the ten days leading to tragic and inspiring martyrdom on the day of Ashura, cities take on a different look with various ceremonies and rituals held for such turning point in Islam history.

The music for the clip ‘Enlivening Breeze’ directed by Abouzar Heidaro has been composed by Abbas Abouhamzeh.
